Solar-our future!
"The author of Solar Energy in 12-volt systems
about his work, his life and his ideas-

Many people are amazed by this world. Why it is? What will the future bring? My name is Michel Daniek and I am one of those people. When I was young I always wanted to know everything about this world. But for a long time I found even more questions than answers. At the age of 13 years, and fascinated by astronomy and reading the theory of relativity of Albert Einstein, physicists found that neither knew all the answers. Science itself is amazed at the great mystery of the universe. Mostly I worried
questions about our society and environmental protection. It appears that most of us is still not recognizing the dramatic problems arising from the CO2 and radioactivity. If we continue burning fossil fuels like oil, natural gas and coal, the oxygen in our atmosphere will be consumed and converted back to CO2. The content of oxygen in our atmosphere was produced by land plants in the past. Furthermore, the deforestation reduces the possibility of oxygen production. Unless we stop the consumption of fossil fuels artificially modified atmosphere of the earth so that humanity can not survive.
addition, the problem of radioactivity as an unwanted byproduct of the use of nuclear energy produced by nuclear test explosions and nuclear accidents, as Czernobyl seems to be the main cause of genetic disease. It is proven that nuclear radiation modify the information contained in biologically relevant genes to the body's integrity, besides being a major cause for cancer. The numerous population studies in areas contaminated by radioactivity endorse this. So cancer cases have increased in parallel with increasing of radioactivity "natural" since the discovery of nuclear fission.
Like many of my generation, when I was young, I wondered: How much longer would like to be passive spectators of the destruction of our basic means of survival on this beautiful planet? When our civilization will be mature enough to not leave their children a lot of environmental problems and to keep as many nuclear waste to endanger the health of hundreds of generations?
For all this I am sure that solar power will help us step out of the misery of fossil fuel energy and disaster nuclear energy. Undoubtedly the future will be energy solar energy! The number one energy source will always be the sun! However, although the techniques and materials are useful solar energy is used very infrequently. Why? The technology uses sunlight energy is suppressed by large commercial interests and political groups. These groups spread false arguments and use models, inventions, projects and solar energy studies for the sole purpose of showing that they are unfeasible. They claim that solar is too expensive, but we should weigh the true costs of nuclear contamination and CO2 from fossil fuels compared to solar energy. The entire production of solar panels is part meantime the oil companies that dictate years prohibitive prices increased 10 times. And all this just to avoid competition with their own conventional power plants so that continue to exist as long as possible. With these aspirations
electrical industries produce more electricity than is needed now, creating the illusion to consumers that there is no limit on the amount of fuel that can be consumed. No one is aware that it can be a problem and nobody thinks about how much you are using. Many modern devices require more energy today than before. Electrical industries brought to market products such as TV programs and devices that follow the off spending power, these devices consume together in a country like Germany, the amount of energy that produces a nuclear plant. Consumers are never informed of that utility costs as useless. Almost never in the stores staff knows. You can spread false information that is better, for example, that computers are run 24 hours. In short, what concerns the energy industry is simply to make as much money as possible and still increase power consumption.
In addition, remains the problem of "contamination" by the electro in the 230-volt system. The magnetic fields around the poles and high voltage electrical cables pollute large areas. This is not as harmless as had been estimated. Electrosmog can cause insomnia, nervousness and damage to our defense. While there is information about the harm of electromagnetic pollution in bedrooms and mobile call, the whole problem is unknown or hidden as much as possible.

But I return to my story and my attempts to not be part of the problem but part of the solution. I was born in 1964 in Giessen, Germany. I grew up the only son of a plumber in a middle class family. Interested in technology had the time since the early days of my childhood to learn, playing in my father's workshop, the use of tools. After an industrial mechanic training car then started to seek alternatives to life. I worked many years as a builder and bike mechanic for people with disabilities. But when I was 30 I was very dissatisfied with my life in Germany. In 1995 I outfitted a truck to travel. During the trip was rehearsing with the solar system in my caravan. Since 1997 I live and work with solar energy in my new adopted home in a small town in Andalusia alternative.
With all our problems Overall, such ignorance can hardly understand rationally. How long do we still rely on politicians and managers of the consortium? Some time ago we should have learned to be responsible and do something ourselves to try new ways of walking independence. Without a doubt, I think the problem is that we are not ready to perceive the situation in which we live. We do not look really the destruction of the environment and its consequences, or are ready to believe that the destruction is real. Considering the dangerous situation, the first need is to recognize and understand the roots of this global crisis. The problems we prevent it are not an economic or technical, but reflect the emotional, moral and spiritual of mankind today and the level of development of consciousness of our species. It is an image of the alienation of modern humanity from itself and its spiritual values in life.
I think this separation of self and nature produces a deep longing for union. Then try to rebuild that unit by creating offsets. So the human appetite is so insatiable, so the man longs for the infinite joy. Instead of discovering the timeless unity refilled by the desire for immortality, rather than join the cosmos looking for master, instead of uniting with God would be God same.
When he was 32 he was sure that solar energy was the perfect solution for our global energy problem. At last, something practical could be done, at last there was a concrete road that seemed to at least one of the crisis of our civilization. As good idealistic thought that everyone was aware of the urgent problem of energy and the environment and that most people lacked just a little help and ability to know how to solve or contribute to the solution. .. thanks to my passion for building could offer some very practical solutions!
Today, 10 years later, I think that the solution will build as many solar and wind as possible, connect to the national grid and at the same time learn to consume less electricity until we turn the old fossil and nuclear power.
sure that there is still plenty of time to time, but for many people my work and my ideas have been an impetus to further develop awareness about energy. I realize that all these separate solar systems involve some ecological problems, as the problem of storing energy in batteries, but I hope to create examples and opportunities for learning, playing with these systems, a more conscious use of energy. These are the important first steps in areas vital to learn to act more environmentally friendly.

I decided in 1998 to write a book for beginners on the use of solar energy and to publish and my work and my inventions. Since the third edition has gone completely updated and updated. The booklet is a practical aid to the autonomous use of solar energy is available for little money in German, English and English.
enjoy many years of solar electricity in my house and my workshop of wood and metal and also in my free time on the stereo in my group, imitating Jimi Hendrix. I often wonder the simplicity with which many things can be done. I was glad of the eyes and ears of many people wonder never thought this would be possible.
For example: Who would have thought that good metal can be welded with solar power? And even better than most commercially available devices that run on nuclear power. While the technique for doing this is so simple that anyone can skilfully rebuild without any problem. Using only 3 car batteries, a brick with holes winding through a wire, a coil homemade and appropriate cables, you can build a very powerful welder.
But Beware! Follow the instructions in the booklet solar please!

He likes to live near civilization, like me, but that depends on the current network should be creative. All my wood shop and metal works while with battery current 12 - or 24-volts. They are also bringing out more and more equipment batteries. Mainly operate seamlessly with solar power if plugged into a solar cell battery instead of a homemade adapter. For years she belonged to a group of builders of green homes of wood and is no longer a problem to build whole wooden houses with solar power in remote areas. If you decide
live with only solar power does not even have to give up enjoying loud music. There are car amplifiers 3000-watts that can make all dreams. Car amp 200-watts and can sound an electric guitar as the legendary guitarist Jimi Hendrix.
Car Amplifiers processed 300-watts bass amplifier, can be much more powerful than comparable professional working with mains.
Most of the time the devices that work with solar power are more energy efficient and more economical. I have a washing machine with a tube solar water heating by the sun's heat and a windshield wiper motor scrapping it consumes no more than 50 watts. It is fully automatic but clean as a normal washing over 2000 watts of consumption.

But for me, the most important autonomous solar systems is education in the consciousness of energy. An old tester easily used to indicate the battery charge and so we develop a sense of what is consumed and learned a more simple and cheaper energy.

All this and more is explained in the booklet solar in my book, the reconstruction is described in an understandable manner even for amateurs. The booklet contains descriptions of batteries, solar panels and regulators, interesting information about switches, cables, plugs and fuses with instructions for making circuit diagrams. A basic course in electricity and measuring instruments allow everyone the construction of their own solar system and its use.
In the practice are information about converters, an introduction to the problem of electromagnetic pollution and also many tips and ideas on lighting, building instructions for adapting solar power stereos, tools, and the legendary electronic welder, a grinder solar , instruments to measure the load and volts batteries and wiring diagrams for homemade solar regulators very simple and free of electromagnetic pollution. And the final tables of transistors and resistors and many interesting examples and pictures complete the work. It is published in Germany in "statt Einfälle Abfall" and in England in "Permanent Publications."

I hope to be doing something simple for the possibility that world giving more and more and more people walk around the sun. I want to share my enthusiasm and joy for the use of less and less energy for that one day we tell our children:
"It was not easy but it really could change something ..."

Daniek, but not like my saying so, is one of those who remind you, no matter how hard you try, you can always advance a little more. Michel advances this some more, but has the gift to do it with joy. Both the man and his book are a true inspiration. Chris Stewart

I am very happy that this book is published, it is very good and is a topic that had not yet been tried. All need this kind of knowledge in the future. That future may come faster than we think. Patrick Whitefield

Michel Daniek lives by his convictions. He is a talented mechanic, inventor and designer - a virtuoso intellectual and practical. His friends call him "Miguel Solar." Has helped many people in search of a life with more environmental responsibility through life with solar power. His book is so wonderfully entertaining read and very practical. At a time when oil prices are rising so much, these decentralized energy systems are becoming increasingly important not only for owners of the house. This book is the impetus for people who are ready to go solar paths.
