Sometimes I wonder whether one new idea makes because you have new information and would allow for assessment of new old observations, or whether it really is a mental development.
The subject land is clearly a fascinating subject, if not the most exciting of all. And a central "entry point" there is not definitive. Different groups, different perspectives, different schools of thought gets to know, man, immerse yourself in this exciting topic. There seems in fact "only" to prevail in establishing that we use our land, rape extinguish. And that this will be in due course a very important global issue, because it actually already is a world wide problem. There seems to exist also in it, is that the subject of humus formation is not yet fully explored or understood. Soil formation, geologically, yes, but the life-sustaining humus decrypted apparently still not really complete, even if some groups have to imagine the knowing side.
most exciting I think for the moment the project France-Harrar. Here, try some very ambitious Enthusiasts, a forgotten for decades, knowledge of the researcher couple Raoul Harrar and Anni revive France-Harrar. And along the way to recover all of the healing Mikrobenmix Edaphon-Impfziegels. Very exciting is the development and well worth reading is associated with this project forum. The development of the forum posts is even more exciting than the incredible wealth of information that are gathered there.
a similarly exciting and, in my sound "base League" is for me the now almost mainstream ascended issue of Terra Preta. Also there is a very sound background information are often very vague, and in any case few and far between. This theme is how It seems to be controlled, from the purely practical side. It's not completely understood, or white but notes that it works. And it's worth it just here to follow the few serious discussions the longer term. Signed me up - not so much the review, but - a discussion of a Holzkohle-/Terra-Preta-Beitrag a blog made interesting and thoughtful.
brings me to my actual thoughts.
in my sandy soil I think every now and then tile shards. That was always like that. And unlike the many quartz pebbles, which inevitably rise gradually from the ground, I could not even read the earlier found pottery shards. Grandma always said "No, are to remain in it. "Sometimes it is so that old memories appear again until you have a practical relevance to it. And now, after reading the recent blog comment, I wonder something about which I recently have not even thought have. Again and again I find in the garden soil old, rusty iron parts. Sometimes I can not tell what it once was, so long must have been already in the ground. Sometimes I see nails, hinges, bolts, so all parts somehow attached to any (stable) door was. And I always thought the (Ancients) have tossed the wood into the compost and the iron is just still there. But now I read in a comment (And I cross this compound had already read somewhere once before, unfortunately I find no longer the resource) that it is the iron-bearing surface, which gives rise to these (our) humus - as new Erkenntinis, which was recently demonstrated. So I can see everything at once rusty stuff, which I find really getting back into the garden soil, entirely different.
And I really wonder what the ancients knew, without telling us? (They have been ashamed to share something that was not 'prove' themselves and therefore it has been forgotten?) No idea ...

with an infrared heating you hardly work, because they just make the question
room or fix with little effort on the wall.
A cheap thermostat then controls everything else.
mold and uncomfortable room climate then belong to the past ...
Do you know the problem in older houses from the 70s or older?

If you buy an infrared heater n, then you can dry with very little energy

infrared heaters have a very convenient mode of action, because the heat energy radiation
not the air in a room, but the illuminated objects:

for straight mold spores in the walls is the poison!
wrong side ventilation are the main causes of mold cold spots and damp walls.
The infrared radiation makes an end!
Technical University of Kaiserslautern has done an exemplary comparison between measurement
infrared radiation heating and gas heating in the old buildings.
It was shown in this study that the infrared radiation, a
alternative to conventional heating systems is useful.

How To Season/marinate Chicken Breast
The surprise was perfect. After the interim Stinkanfall my Bokashieimers I simply ignored him two weeks. The time he has used, obviously, to get back to his senses. It is no longer stank. Neither the content nor the bucket is not drained broth. It smelled a little like the brine of pickled cucumbers. And the substrate was generally plenty of mushy.
What should happen in theory happen, so, too. It should not come out of this first attempt. The intermediate stage smelly surprise here, but maybe it's just the nature of the thing at the bottom of the open design of the Bokashieimer. One thing about which should again be considered separately. Started
the attempt was ultimately to Starter following material: milchsäurevergorene beans, yogurt, dried yeast, brewer's yeast. The broth was drained off three times and then poured onto the substrate. A red cabbage test showed a slightly acid reaction of the broth. The approximately 10 l substrate showed about a 3 / 4 l broth, the material was indeed very moist to wet.
Now, after four weeks, the material was divided and stored in the broth, cover and / or mixed with crushed charcoal. From both buckets is fed by and by a vermiculture.
Bokashi The second approach is without starter cultures. Otherwise, like the first time procedures. In two intervals, the bucket of shredded kitchen waste equipped. These are laid down and above the substrate is also covered with a garbage bag filled with sand.
Addendum:
indicator test pH 5.6

How To Know What Model Snowboard
spontaneously Just as I started the little Bokashi experiment as fast as I need it may have to stop again.
ago had 2 1 / 2 weeks I this spontaneous idea. I just wanted to know whether a type of Bokashi-digestion also hinbekommt itself. Should not be so difficult, pickles, sauerkraut, Schnippelbohnen - because it works so well.
I had to discard my Schnippelbohnen - although they were well fermented, but far too salty - I thought that I immediately have a good starting solution. So I had covered the grid floor of the bucket with a small layer of compost, so the broth does not completely equal passes. I've broken all existing kitchen waste and also poured into the bucket. A bit dry, which was left and added a yogurt. After a week again and refilled the bucket was already full.
Initially, the broth, which I had drained, still quite bright, but they did not stink. I have again thrown on top of the substrate and sealed the bucket again. This I have repeated in the next two weeks, twice. And obviously did something. The material has collapsed and the broth was darker. The bucket smelled almost not at all. The broth reminded not necessarily a flower meadow, but they do not really stank, smelled rather strange - strange - sour. And I would say, yes, basically you get soeiner lactic acid fermentation of waste out and quasi independent.
But then I passed the little accident. This rain barrel drain valves seem to be not very reliable. Although I'd noticed that I had the tap is not well locked up, but I still thought nothing of it. A towel placed underneath to hold the drip sufficient quantities, should ... I thought. But after a few days ago it all started to smell terrible. My goodness! If this stock is like the air is, as it obviously is something we are not at Sun This was also the tolerance of the Family there (the bucket was fairly warm in the house!). Now I had to put him in the laundry room and cooler still am not sure if the temperatures there are still sufficient. And it actually is already the second small problem. What do I do with the Bokashi - now in the fall? A "processed" by worms? Maybe a bit too fresh to begin such an attempt. But maybe bagging and by the spring forgotten somewhere in a corner, as do probably many EM users? No idea. First of all, I am in charge of the somewhat unreliable drain. I've presented myself a little more relaxed.
